My name is Raafa Abdulla and I am excited to be the new math teacher at UAS. I have an honours degree in Medical Biochemistry from the University of British Columbia and another degree in Education in Math and Science from the same university.
I have worked as a Calculus and Algebra-based physics lab instructor; physics lab coordinator, Physics Supplemental Learning Leader at the University of British Columbia. I also worked as a researcher in the Bio-Micro/Nanotechnology Laboratory.
I did very well in Math and I was able to get 99% in Calculus. I love teaching and I consider it fun, interesting and challenging at the same time. I always enjoy when I teach Math and Physics and my aim is to help students reach their highest potentials.
My teaching philosophy is to make students feel they are very successful whatever "Success" means to them. I am very thrilled to be working with all other teachers and sharing my passion for technology-integrated education with UAS students.
During my spare time, I like cooking, drawing and knitting!
